Owia boat captain, Chateaubelair resident still missing at sea

THE SEARCH FOR two men, a boat captain from Owia and a Chateaubelair resident, is still ongoing following a shooting incident at sea in Owia on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

The question surrounding the cause of the shooting which left one man injured, and two, Withfield “Biggest” Williams of Owia and Dominic Neverson unaccounted for is still up in the air.

According to police reports, around 5:00 p.m on Sunday, a shooting incident occurred on the waters off Rock Gutter in Owia when the vessel carrying the three occupants came under fire from another vessel carrying multiple individuals.

When police responded, an injured male, Hollis Young, originally of Questelles, was found on shore with multiple gunshot wounds.Young, who goes by the alias “Runaway” was assisted by residents and later transported to hospital for treatment. He remains warded at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
