Earlier this month, when Vincentian national, Adriel Francois, was announced as the recipient of the Odgers Prize, he succeeded in adding his name to an elite list of academics and also bagged yet another stellar, personal accomplishment.
The Odgers Prize, which was established in 1987, is one of the most prestigious accolades awarded by the Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom and is presented to the MBA student who demonstrates the most potential for a highly successful career in management.
In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT, Francois detailed the rigorous process he and 59 other candidates from Africa, Latin America, China, Taiwan, went through from October last year, with him being the lone person from the Caribbean region.
The “diverse” group, as Francois described them, all came into the programme with a wealth of experience.
“So it is really experienced people, professionally and academically you’re surrounded by on the program. Over the course, based on your interactions with the cohort and the modules that we have to take with the lecturers, the Odgers Prize is actually the most difficult one to get.”
