Alleged robbers relieve Kingsley De Freitas of money and phone

Political commentator, and radio host, Kingsley De Freitas, disclosed that he was victim of alleged armed robbery outside his home earlier this week.

De Freitas, who is also a taxi operator, was due to join the WEFM Activated Morning programme on Wednesday, July, 23, 2025 with morning hosts, Roleza Samuel and Dianna Cain.

He joined only briefly, to reveal the late night ordeal which he said has left him like a “fish out of water”.

The controversial commentator and former newspaper contributor, explained that after his July 22 ‘Feedback’ show at the station on Tuesday night, he arrived home around 10:00 p.m and was met by the assailant when he went to open the gate to his home.

“I had a radio programme last night at WEFM and I tried to leave early… but I left around 10 o’clock. I reached home approximately 10:30. When I reached home, I have to go out the vehicle to open the gate, and I was confronted by somebody…”
