“My South Windward family, we did it. I am the Unity Labour Party’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency of South Windward. I say to you today, never would I have made it without God and without you, the people of South Windward. It was your prayers, your words of encouragement, your hugs at the market, your handshakes on the roadside, your nods of faith in this labour party that lifted me and made this evening possible.”
He added, “Together we are stronger. I must tell you that no effort worth anything can come without challenges, and there have been challenges on this journey, but there has also been love….”
