PM questions what happened to the 7 absent CPEA students?

There are seven students who were among the 1689 registered to write thisyear’s Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) but who did not turn up to write the exams.

One thousand six hundred and eighty-nine students had registered to write the exams, but only 1,682 turned up at the various centres to be tested.

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has expressed concern about this matter and has called on the Ministry of Education to do some investigations. Speaking on NBC radio on Wednesday, July 1, 2025, PM Gonsalves said “we need to know what happened to those seven students”, adding, “Where are they?”
