Maddzart ready for Kaiso show-down

Raeon “Maddzart” Primus believes he is in a strong place to retain his Kaiso crown at the ‘big yard’ in the Dimance Gras show on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Just before heading into his first rehearsal with the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Bank late on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, 2025, Maddzart spoke briefly with SEARCHLIGHT about the defense of his title and gave what some may consider a contrary comment.

“ I am not ready, and I am never ready until the MC says next on stage, Maddzart- until the Emcee announce my name to come on stage,” the enigmatic entertainer said.

“That’s how I look at it, because there will always be time and room to adjust something especially in calypso where something might happen, and I need to change some lyrics here and there- add some picong here and there because calypso requires that as part of the entertainment.”
