Police Focusing on Road Rage in Annual Week of Activities

The Traffic Branch of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is this week highlighting issues of safety in its annual Road Safety week of activities that began on Sunday, May 25, 2025 with a church service.

In a release, the RSVGPF said incidents of road rage and reckless driving are among the top issues affecting safety on the nation’s road, and the week of activities is being held with issue in mind.

This year’s theme for Road Safety Week is “Safer road, safer community, a shared responsibility”.

Officer in-charge of Traffic, Transport and Garage, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Parnel Browne said among the week’s other activities is an appearance on NBC Radio’s “Talk yo Talk” programme today, May, 27, and later, a caravan to the Windward side of the mainland to promote road safety and the week’s activities. The following day, May 28, the caravan will travel to the leeward side of the mainland, and this will be followed at 5:00 p.m by a Town Hall meeting at the Peace Memorial Hall. An exhibition will be held in front of the Police Barracks on May, 29, 2025.

ASP Browne is extending a special invitation to the public to attend the Town Hall meeting and have their questions addressed.

“…this is a golden opportunity for you to come out at the Peace Memorial Hall, 5:00 p.m, to ask your questions and to get the answers that you surely should have.”
