Lowmans Leeward man charged with triple homicide
A Lowmans Leeward man, who is charged with murdering one woman and two men, and is also faced with three counts of attempted murder, has commented to reporters that the police must “do their investigation right.”
Kesroy Ryan, 25, appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate, Colin John, yesterday, May 26, 2025, where he was charged that on May 16, 2025, at Belmont, with malice aforethought, he caused the death of Leslyn Davis, Demeon Cumberbatch and Haynesly Browne by shooting them about their bodies with a gun.
As each of the three charges was read, the Chief Magistrate informed the accused that he was not required to plea as each charge was laid indictably, and that bail was not open to him.
Ryan was also charged that on the same date and place, with intent to commit the offence of murder on 38 year old labourer, Haydon Ballantyne; 68-year-old chef, Lorna Davis; and 30-year-old labourer, Bancroft Abbot, did an act which is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the offence.
It is alleged that Ryan shot Ballantyne on his left foot, and shot at Davis and Abbot with a gun. All of the offences were alleged to have been committed at Belmont between 9:00 p.m. and 9:03 p.m.
All the victims are residents of Belmont.
The Chief Magistrate then requested bail submissions from Prosecutor, Renrick Cato, for the attempted murder offences, after noting that these offenses are bailable.
