Hundreds of workers in the informal sector, such as vendors, gathered yesterday at the Geest Shed to receive their second of three monthly payments of $300 under the COVID-19 Interim Assistance Benefit. Last week, Minister of Finance Camillo Gonsalves said that so far, these benefits have been paid out to 1,644 informal sector workers, costing approximately EC$460,000.
