Commissioner Michael Charles takes a bride

Commissioner of Police Michael Charles says he feels like he is “walking on air” following his wedding earlier this week.

Charles exchanged marriage vows with his colleague Sergeant Juliana Browne on Tuesday at the Bay Gardens Resort, Rodney Bay, St Lucia.{{more}}

Chatting briefly with SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday via Whatsapp messenger, Charles said, “It’s really a wonderful feeling. Man, I feel like I am walking on air,” with an accompanying lol (laugh out loud).

Sergeant Browne, who has been a police officer for 20 years, has been attached to the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) programme for most of that time, but has also worked at the Narcotics Division, Beat and Patrol and Immigration.

Corporal Dorothy Simmons was the Matron of Honour and Sergeant Brenton Smith, the best man.

SEARCHLIGHT congratulates Commissioner Charles and his wife on their marriage.
