Two French visitors found dead on yacht

Two French nationals, a 37-year-old female and a 51-year-old male, were discovered dead on their yacht on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, off the coast of Bequia.{{more}}

An occupant of a nearby yacht saw the male hanging from the mast of the boat at about 5:50 a.m. and made a report to local police.

Upon investigation, the woman was found inside the yacht.

According to police, no signs of physical injury or marks of violence were present on either of the bodies.

SEARCHLIGHT also understands that the yacht had not been cleared by Customs.

Both bodies and the yacht were brought to mainland St Vincent later on Wednesday for further investigation.

The vessel was taken to the Coast Guard base.
