Pamenos wins big with Cable & Wireless

Ace long distance runner Pamenos Ballantyne received his biggest prize ever on Monday when he collected a fat cheque for EC$40, 000 from Cable & Wireless.
Unlike his many other races where he would have had to run several miles to defeat the competitors Pamenos did not even have to run a mile this time.{{more}}
Winning the Cable & Wireless EC$40, 000 grand draw was as simple as answering his cellular phone when the company dialled his number on Sunday, April 18.
The old adage that while one door closes another opens proved so true in Pamenos’ case.
That same week end he was supposed to be in England to participate in the London Marathon but had to cancel his plans after suffering a fall which caused damage about his body.
“I am feeling good, I really need it not want it this time because I’m building a house,” said Pamenos.
“I am getting close to completion and this EC$40, 000 will come in handy for me to do some finishing touches,” said Pamenos who is planning
to move into his new Arnos Vale home in the next three weeks.
Frederick Walcott, CEO of Cable & Wireless said the company is happy that Pamenos is the actual winner of the $40, 000 Grand To Go having assisted him in his career as a sportsman.
“Cable & Wireless is committed to sports and we are pleased that we can assist him,” Walcott said.
Cable & Wireless will
be launching another programme next month, which will allow customers to win valuable prizes almost every month.
