Greiggs farmer fined for theft of cell phone

Roberts Maloney, a 36-year-old farmer of Greiggs was fined and ordered to pay compensation when he appeared in the Magistrate’s court in Mesopotamia where he pled guilty of a charge of theft. The police said in a report that Maloney was arrested on June, 26, 2025 and charged for stealing a purple Samsung Galaxy S21 cellular phone, valued at £300.00, the property of a 32-year-old sales clerk of

Barrouallie, in Kingstown on June 24, 2025. Maloney appeared at the Mesopotamia Magistrate Court on Friday 27, June, 2025, where he pleaded guilty. He was fined EC$500.00, $250.00 of which was to be paid forthwith; in default, he will spend three months in prison. Additionally, Maloney was bonded for one year in the sum of EC$900.00. If he defaults on this bond, he will serve five months at His Majesty’s Prison.
