Businessman charged with unlawful possession of firearm and Ammo

A 41-year-old businessman of Diamond was arrested and charged with the offences of possession of an illegal firearm and possession of illegal ammunition.

Lemore Ryan is alleged to have had in his possession one black Glock 9mm pistol, serial number unknown, without a license issued under the Firearms Act, the police said in a report.

He was also charged with having in his possession 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition, without a license issued under the said Act.

The offences were alleged to have been committed in Diamond on June 25, 2025. Ryan appeared before the Serious Offences Court on June 26, 2025 and pleaded not guilty to both offences. He was granted composite bail in the sum of EC$10,000.00 with one surety. The accused was also ordered to report to the Calliaqua Police Station every Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The matter was adjourned to July 28 2025, for hearing.
