Suspect in custody following shooting in Union Island

A shooting incident in Union Island last Saturday, November 5, has landed Caldwell Browne, a resident of Union Island in police custody.

In a release the police said that Browne and Anthony Franklyn, a 30-year-old man of Clifton, Union Island apparently got into an altercation after Franklyn allegedly broke the windscreen of Cadwell’s blue Suzuki Escudo.

Cadwell reportedly took a gun and shot Franklyn on the right side of his back then threw the gun into the sea.

Franklyn was transported to the mainland by the Coast Guard and is reported to be in stable condition.
