Labourer jailed for stealing gas bottles

A 52 year old labourer of Kingstown will spend 14 months in prison for stealing seven 20lb gas cylinders, valued at EC$875, the property of Banfield gas station.

Glenroy Browne was arrested on April 30 and charged with the offence of theft, a police release states.

The theft is said to have occurred at Grenville Street, Kingstown between 7:00 p.m on April16, and 7:00 a.m on April 19.

When Browne appeared in the Kingstown Magistrate Court on May 3 to answer the charge, he pled guilty and was given a prison sentence.
