Two labourers to answer to separate assault charges

TWO MEN, both labourers are expected to appear in court to answer to charges of assault causing actual bodily harm which occurred on different dates and at different locations.

The police said in a report that on Sunday, March 20, 2022, Denroy Adams, a 32 year old labourer of Georgetown was arrested and charged with the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm.

Adams is accused of allegedly assaulting a 22 year old labourer of New Chapmans by beating him about his body with his hands.

The incident is said to have occurred at Mt. Bentick, Georgetown at about 8:30 p.m on January 21, 2022.

The accused is expected to appear in the Magistrates Court to answer to the charge.

In the other incident, the police said 30 year old Brenton Barker, a labourer of Park Hill was arrested and charged with the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm.

Barker is alleged to have assaulted a 42 year old labourer also of Park Hill at about 5:49 p.m on March 4, 2022 by boxing him on the left side of his face.

The incident occurred at Park Hill, the police release said.

Barker too, is expected to appear in the Magistrates Court to answer to the charge.
