Three young men of Sandy Bay on multiple charges

Police have arrested and charged three young men of Sandy Bay for a number of alleged offences including burglary.

The police said in a release that 22 year old Jefferson Shallow who is unemployed, Mickeroy Peters an 18 year old farmer, and Shammar Baptiste 28 years all of Sandy Bay have been slapped with two counts burglary and handling stolen goods.

The accused men are alleged to have entered the dwelling house of a resident of Sandy Bay as trespassers and stealing several items valued at EC$11,921.21, the property of the Sandy Bay resident.

They were further charged with handling stolen goods between 10 o’clock on August 15 and 6 a.m on August 16, 2021.

In addition, they were charged for allegedly entering the Fundamental Bible Church of Sandy Bay as trespassers and stealing several items valued at EC$860.00, the property of the Fundamental Bible Church at Sandy Bay between 3:00 p.m on August 15, 2021 and 7:20 p.m on August 2021.

The three were also charged for having in their possession a quantity of items which they knowingly or believing to be stolen goods, dishonestly received for their own benefit at Noel, Sandy Bay between 3:00 p.m on August and 7:20 p.m on August 18, 2021.
They are expected to answer to the charges before a magistrate.
