Samuel told SEARCHLIGHT on Tuesday that she was picked up by police on Monday evening, and she, along with son Raffique Samuel, was taken to the Serious Offences Court the following day.
The Redemption Sharpes woman was charged with obstructing arrest and assaulting a police officer, while Raffique was charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and using threatening language.
While his mother received bail in the sum of $500, Raffique was remanded in custody.
They are both scheduled to reappear before the court on December 13, this year.
Susanâs other son OâKeefe, who was arrested during the melee, was not charged.
The brawl started after another of Samuelâs sons, Clifford, was convicted of burglary, committed on Friday, September 13.
Upset with the outcome of the case, family members took to the street, confronting persons who had testified in the matter.
When police intervened to bring order, blows were traded, leading to the arrest of Samuelâs two sons.
Clifford was the lone defendant in the September 13 burglary case, and not Kizorn Grant as previously reported by SEARCHLIGHT.
Clifford is expected to return to the Kingstown Magistrateâs Court for sentencing on September 30.(JJ)
