Fairhall woman out on $15,000 bail

Rhonda Ashton will return to the Serious Offences Court on December 16 for trial.{{more}}

Ashton, of Fairhall, was charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to Walwyn Allen of the same address.

It is alleged that on July 27, at about midnight, while Allen was asleep at home, he was doused, by Ashton, with a mixture of acid, pepper and hot water.

When Ashton appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Friday, she was granted bail in the sum of $15,000. She is to surrender all of her travel documents to the court, avoid contact with the virtual complainant and report to the Calliaqua Police Station, every Monday and Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.(CA)
