An annoyed Young lashed out at police officers yesterday, at a sitting of the Serious Offences Court, after prisoners were seen walking across the courtroom, heading towards where prisoners are normally seated.
âWhat is going on here? The next time I see a prisoner walk across the court like that, I am going to hold the police officer in contempt,â the magistrate warned.
âThe prosecutorâs back is turned, why are they allowing prisoners to walk across my courtroom?â
Concerns have been raised by the court in recent times about police officers not escorting prisoners to their seats.(KW)
