Yesterday, at the Serious Offences Court, Chief Magistrate Sonya Young found that there was enough evidence put forward by the prosecution against Bowens to have him stand trial on a charge of unlawful and malicious wounding.
Bowens was charged with allegedly shooting 48-year-old Anthony Grant of the same address, in the left side of his abdomen.
It is alleged that the incident occurred at a shop in Ottley Hall, following an argument between the two at around 9 p.m. on October 1, 2011.
Jomo Thomas represented Bowens at the Preliminary Inquiry.(KW)
