Arnos Vale duo charged with robbery

Two Arnos Vale men who are accused of entering the storeroom of Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket at Arnos Vale and stealing a quantity of items were remanded on Monday, March 21, after they pleaded not guilty to the charges at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court.{{more}}

Dwight James, 37, and Allan Williams, 33, both labourers, were charged with stealing the items valued at $2,870, the property of Denroy Jordan, 28, of Sion Hill, Aunt Jobe’s Supermarket and Jane Espe, 31, between March 12 and 15, 2011.

Williams was also charged with attempting to enter the Haddon Hotel Building, at McKies Hill, on March 8, 2011. He pleaded not guilty to that charge.

The matters are adjourned to April 18. They remain in police custody.
