‘Ban cutlass from St. Vincent’, says Browne

If Senior Magistrate Donald Browne had his way, cutlasses would be a thing of the past in St Vincent. “I wish they could ban cutlass from St Vincent,” Browne chimed.{{more}}

Browne was at the time addressing a matter involving a Campden Park man who had used a cutlass to inflict wounds on another man.

Speaking at a sitting of the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, Browne said he was alarmed by the high number of cutlass incidents that come to his court.

The outspoken Magistrate further noted that he was going to have a meeting with the Commissioner of Police, Keith Miller to speak about the matter. That meeting was expected to have taken place yesterday.(KW)
