Carlon Shorn Greigg pleaded guilty to wounding Jolene Charles on Saturday, March 20, at Edinboro.

It is alleged that the couple engaged in an argument where Charles told Greigg to leave her home. Matters took a turn for the worse when Greigg struck Charles twice over her head with a hammer and stabbed her twice in the back and once in the chest.

SEARCHLIGHT understands that the ordeal has left Charles paralyzed from the waist down.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young said that she did not know the full extent of Charles’ injuries and as a result, entered a not guilty plea on Greigg’s behalf until she got further details.

Moments later, Young discarded her initial decision and went on to accept Greigg’s guilty plea. He will return to court on March 31 for sentencing. (KW)
