On Thursday, December 10, 2009, the Grenadian national was sentenced to three and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of the controlled substance at the Serious Offences Court.

The court heard that on December 7, Union Island police officers spotted Perrott sitting in a tree with a nylon sack on the ground at Frigate Bay.

Apparently recognising the police, Perrott ran, but was subsequently apprehended. He was brought back to where the sack was and he told officers that it was marijuana. A search on the sack found 17 taped packages of the illegal substance.

He told Chief Magistrate Sonya Young that he got the drugs from Petit Bordel and was carrying it to Grenada.(KW)
