David Roberts will have to wait until the next sitting of the Criminal Assizes in September before he knows his fate.{{more}}

Roberts was convicted on June 20, 2007 for the murder of Dorsie Neptune, 77 of Murray’s Village on May 13, 2005.

Roberts sentencing hearing had to be pushed back on Wednesday because of the absence of a psychiatric report which was needed in order for the sentencing to take place.

The matter was presided over by Justice Gertel Thom.

Neptune’s lifeless body was found on her bed after she had been strangled to death by Roberts. Roberts said he went to Neptune’s home and choked her to death, then had sex with her. He then cooked macaroni and stewed chicken. He was seen in the house by a neighbour.

He was apprehended at a gas station in Arnos Vale.(KW)
