Isaacs was hauled before the Family Court on Monday after he was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl of Bridgetown. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was granted bail in the sum of $5000. Jefferson has been placed on suspension pending the outcome of the charge.

At the time of Jefferson’s arrest he was attached to the Public Relations and Complaints Department.

He is scheduled to reappear in court on May 17.

The Police Force has been under heavy fire since the year began with two other officers being charged with criminal offences. Just last week, police constable Holford Browne appeared at the Family court, also on a charge of rape. He was granted bail in the sum of $6000.
