Italian nabbed at airport with drugs

An Italian chef was on Monday nabbed at the E T Joshua Airport for having four grams of cannabis in his possession.

Tiziano Mita, 27, chef, had to pay $100 forthwith or in default spend 48 hours at her majesty’s prison. Mita was brought before the Serious Crimes Court on Wednesday and pled guilty to the charge.{{more}}

Information reaching SEARCHLIGHT stated that Mita was at the airport and had already cleared immigration and security and was waiting in the departure area. While there, police officers noticed suspicious movements by the defendant. Acting on their suspicion, the officers approached Mita and requested a search on his luggage, which he consented to. Upon discovery of their search, two bombs of cannabis were found in cereal pack between his clothes. The Italian was cautioned and replied “A Rasta man gave me it.”
