But, in a cruel twist of faith, his girlfriend Fay-Anne Jackson survived the vicious attack and was up to last Wednesday resting in the female surgical ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

The attack took place in an area known as Beverly Hills at Murray’s Village in Kingstown and was erroneously reported in sections of the media as a murder/suicide as reports heard earlier had suggested that Jackson had died.

Sources say that DaSouza, who subsequently died a few hours after consuming the poisonous substance, had accused Jackson of being unfaithful to him.

When SEARCHLIGHT visited Jackson, the lady refused to comment and also refused to have her photograph taken.

Scars about her body, including her face will unfortunately ensure that she never forgets what happened that fateful day.
