Man jailed for pelting stones and bottle

A Campden Park man was slapped with two three-month sentences Monday when he appeared before the No. 1 Kingstown Magistrate Court.
Oscar Samuel pleaded guilty to charges of hurling missiles at Peter Sam of Vermont on August 17 and assaulting him, causing actual bodily harm on August 21. {{more}}
The court heard that on August 17, Samuel was dismissed from his job at Allan’s Bakery at Campden Park; he accused his co-worker, Sam, of causing him to get fired. And that later, as Sam walked toward the road, he hurled stones at him.
The court also heard that on August 21, at about 6.55 a.m., when Sam showed up for work Samuel was at the gate and hurled a bottle at him, striking him on the right shoulder.
Sam sustained soft-tissue swelling, one inch in diameter, on two areas of his shoulder.
“I regard this attack on Peter Sam as very serious. It is not a one-off thing”, Senior Magistrate Carl Joseph told Samuel. “You want some time to cool out, you see”.
Samuel was sentenced to three months for each charge. The sentences, however, are to run concurrently.
