Sir Vincent had special relationship with SVG Police Force – Commissioner

Tribute to the late Sir Vincent Ian Beache, KCMG
– from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF)

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John, the gazetted officers corps and rank and file members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) extend deepest condolences to the immediate family and friends of the late Sir Vincent Ian Beache, KCMG.

During his lifetime, the late Sir Vincent had a special relationship with the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force. He served as Minister of National Security from 2001 to 2004; the line ministry under which the Police Force falls – and as National Security Advisor to the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines from 2004 to 2017. In both capacities, he contributed to the modernization of the Police Force.

As Minister of National Security, Sir Vincent was instrumental in implementing several reforms in the organization; including the commissioning of a comprehensive study into the Police Force that was done by Mr Orville Durrant, deceased former Commissioner of Police of Barbados.

Sir Vincent was very passionate about fighting crime. To this end, he also assisted in compiling a 14-point strategic framework to combat crime in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

May his soul rest in perpetual peace.
