JoChe – new way to buy Christmas gifts
That help comes in the form of JoChe Classics, a catalogue launched last week by Chris and Latoya John, operators of JoChe Moments, an event planning business.
JoChe Classics was launched on December 5, poolside at the Blue Lagoon hotel at Ratho Mill. The locally produced 14-page catalogue is filled with ideas for both corporate and personal Christmas gifts.
Latoya, explaining the genesis of the catalogue, said in the past, people would ask her to assist them by preparing
Christmas gifts and gift baskets, as she was involved in event planning.
“Over the last couple of years, Christmas time, I guess because I am into event planning, when I go to do décor, people would ask if I can prepare a gift for them and I would say no, I donât offer that service,â said LaToya, who added that she would recommend other persons.
“It was becoming a constant question because of the business I am in and that is where the idea was generated from. I like to give unique gifts at Christmas, so I figure why not put them in a catalogue form and share them with other persons.â
The catalogue includes the work of several local entrepreneurs and Latoya revealed that they were given the spaces free of charge.
“We have a lot of entrepreneurs who donât have a market, so I invited some of them to put their stuff in the catalogue, so that they can get it sold as well. All of this was free; they did not have to pay, just get products ready to take images,â said Latoya.
Persons interested in the catalogue may call (784) 534-3422 to have a copy delivered. The catalogue comes with an order sheet and persons may fill this out and have their gifts delivered.
“You donât have to do anything; just sit down and order,â promised Latoya.
The catalogueâs cover was designed by Tsha Anthony-Browne, a graphic design student at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), while the interior layout was done by Adison Thomas. It was printed in Trinidad. Coreas Hazells Ltd is the major sponsor.(LC)
