VINCENTIAN GRADUATES FROM UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER

Channyatt Ramsamooj of Yambou, St Vincent and the Grenadines, graduated from the University of Manchester in December 2009 with an MA degree in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education. She received an award of MERIT. During her time of studies at the University of Manchester, Channyatt displayed full professionalism and dedication to her work, especially in the course Module: Managing ICT in schools and colleges. This was evident due to her 28 years of teaching experiences and working closely with the ICT areas of teaching in her country.

Chan, as she is affectionately called, attended the Marriaqua and Cane End Primary Schools and then the Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia , St Vincent.

Channyatt is the wife of Mr Sruti Ramsamooj, acting deputy principal of the Intermediate High School, St Vincent. She has two children Priyadarshani, a student at SGU, Grenada, and Rishi, a student at the St Vincent Grammar School. She thanked the Lord Almighty for sustaining her during her time of studies, her husband and children for full encouragement and support. She also thank the Government of St Vincent for granting study leave and their support.

Mrs Ramsamooj has been awarded an OAS scholarship to continue studies at the Florida Institute of Technology, Florida, USA.
