Murder of 1 yo baby sends Rose Hall residents into frenzy

A case of vigilante justice almost materialized in the North Leeward community of Rose Hall tonight following a brutal killing of an infant.

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, a Rose Hall man reportedly slashed the throat of a one-year-old baby. The child was rushed for medical attention but succumbed to the injuries.

Police were able to apprehend the male suspect before the residents of the community. SEARCHLIGHT understands they gathered outside the district station throwing stones at the building.

Shots were fired to disperse the crowd.
