Police have made a breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of Purlinea “Sunshine” Greaves of Dorsetshire Hill.
This is according to Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, who made the disclosure during a call to the Issue at Hand Programme on We FM on Sunday.
The Prime Minister, who had returned to St Vincent and the Grenadines earlier on Sunday, said the Commissioner of Police had advised him that an arrest had been made in the case and the suspect will appear at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, February 20.
Greaves, a 28-year-old Timekeeper was shot in the head on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
She succumbed to her injuries on February 10 at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Police said Greaves was approached and shot in the head by an unknown assailant at about 8:30 pm.
