CXC delays 2022 exams by three weeks

The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has announced a three-week delay in their May /June 2022 regional exams.

The announcement of the delay was made earlier today by CXC’s Registrar and CEO Dr Wayne Wesley. He said the exams will now commence on May 23, with results projected to be released in late August or early September.

The CXC has also granted a two-week extension for the submission of School Based Assessments which Wesley said would still be in the hands of local registrars and so, candidates will be able to make adjustments before final submission.

Meanwhile, a list of the broad topics will also be released in a few weeks, so candidates will have a general idea of what would be featured in the exam.

Wesley said COVID-19 and its resultant impact across the region was considered in making this decision.
