Dey’ll Be Ah Board Walk at Sion Hill Bay
DWIGHT FITZGERALD BRAMBLE

Dey’ll Be Ah Board Walk at Sion Hill Bay

EAST KINGSTONIANS and NDP supporters could give dem-selves ah Big Thumbs Up foh de party’s Easter-Monday Beach splash at Sion Hill Bay. De festivity seems to be getting bigger and better every year. Dey must have been some vision at de back of de head of de former area Rep. Hon Arm-in UseTusk, years ago when he selected Sion Hill Bay, as de venue for de NDP East Kingstown (EK) Constituency’s Fun Day.

Hon Fitz Bramble took over from Arm-in, he’s de currently area rep and is doing an excel-length job. He disclosed at de picnic on Monday, some of de plans and concepts he and his hard working committee have foh de constituency, in particular, an initiative to improve de annual fair, as well as an overall proposal foh developing Sion Hill Bay as ah Nah-shun-all Heritage Site.

He is already in conversation wid ah team of US-based Vincies, former East Kingstonians, people in de planning and designing profession, willing to get on board.

Bramble disclosed dat hopefully dey will be ah brightly solar lit board walk along de coast linking de two beach at Arnos Vale and Sion Hill. There will also be ah salt water pond between Nansi Rock and de shore, creating an environment for Aquatic Activities e.g. swimming, sailing fishing, beach ball games, activities foh children and seniors so people like Arm-in and Ralph could fish on de Board Walk.

FISHING ON DE BOARD WALK

Lie-Za is in support of de Fitz Bramble’s plans and initiative foh Sion Hill Bay. One of her greatest hope is dat Bramble gets de Board Walk fixed immediately, as soon as he takes office.

And she wants to be ah candle fly some-way along de board walk when dey invite Arm-in and Ralph to go fish along de rocks near de Board Walk.

She actually has an imaginary script all written wid Arm-In and Ralph’s conversation fishing word foh word. Act I scene 2 was when Ralph hooked ah fish, and just as he was about to land his catch on de walk-away de fish got-way. Annoyed Ralph asked Arm-in what went wrong, why did my fish get away, and Arm-in humorously asked Ralph: “Did you have any bait on yuh hook. Ralph reply was: “Nippy boy ah neither have hook nor bait, is beg ah custom to beg when ah say ah gone fishing oops, to con-friends over sea. Painfully Arm-in explained step by step, yuh must not deceive yuh own people. No matter how poor yuh are, have yuh bait. Like ah Robin, Jack or Sprott.”

Ralph interrupts: “Ah doh trust any ah dem names yuh call!”

Arm-in continues: “ Den yuh get ah No 5 fish-hook. Ralph again: “ why such ah small # hook? why not ah No 15 ah want to catch all 15 one time.”

Den Arm-in told him de lower de number de bigger de hook, but de secret in catching ah fish however, is mek sure “yuh hook de fish by de gill!”

Ralph interrupts again: “ Ah do dat all de time, ah told de House ah Par-liar-mint about dat in 2023, two years ago when de SVG Go-venom-mint did borrow EC$477.9 million from Tie one of which EC$170 million was foh de Port Project. But de money done and de Port is still to complete. Arm-in finally asked: “Is dat why yuh gone and borrow again from CDB and World Bank?

And wid dat is gone ah gone again.

One Love Bassy
