Summer Break – Kids Hair care.
As school is out, we parents are not as pressed to comb our kids’ hair as often. We would put their hair in protective styles and repeat as needed. This is all good and fine, but we must remember that even though it is in a protective style it still needs to be taken care of. Here are
some reminders to keep our kids’ hair healthy.
Always remember that hair needs to receive moisture on a regular basis. Reapply the leave-in conditioners, creams and oils to make sure the hair does not get dry.
Even though the hair may not look dirty, remember the scalp needs to be clean as well. The build-up of natural oils, along with hair products, can block the hair and scalp from receiving the nutrients of the products.
Do not leave hair ties in for too long as they can break the hair. Also, do not put them in too tight as that can also do damage to hair.
Keep the hair covered with a silk bonnet to protect it when they sleep.
Use styles that allow the scalp and hair to breathe, so lots of paths and smaller sections.
Once you keep these tips in mind, your kids’ hair would flourish and we can enjoy a much needed break.
