Timothy Edwards stands out at SVGCC’s Volleyball

Timothy Edwards of Volumme 2, the 2026 champions of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College’s Invitation Volleyball Competition was the standout performer.

Representing second time champions- Volumme 2, Edwards was the overall Most Valuable Player, at the presentation and closing ceremony held on Friday March 13,2026 at the Villa Campus.

Edwards also copped the awards of MVP of the final, MVP of semi- final two, and the Top Offensive player.

The Top Defensive player was Tayon Burgin, also of Volumme 2.

Getting honour mention in the defensive and offensive departments was Nayelli Fergus of DSAGS Spikers. Fergus also claimed her team’s MVP award.

Others rewarded were MVP of semi- final two, Sylique Fredericks, and for the third place play off, Shawn Bacchus.

The remaining teams’ MVPs were: Rasheed Knights, DASGS Diggers; Nathalia Matthews, DTVE Blockers; Siara Da Silva, Sport Science Stars; and Tayon Burgin,Volumme 2.

The Most Improved Players’ awards were: for DASGS Spikers, Zane Walsh; DASGS Diggers, Mbeki King; DTVE Blockers, Jonte Delpesche; and Sports Science Stars, Waynel Lewis.
