Grimble House upsets, and Reeves House maintains in joint Athletics Meet
For the past four years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, Headmistress House ruled supreme over Girls High School (GHS) sports, but on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the joint hosting of the GHS and St. Vincent Grammar School Inter-house Athletics Meet, they were dethroned.
However, Reeves House, St. Vincent Grammar School’s 2024 and 2025 Inter-house champions ensured that there was no upset, as they won for the third year running.
Grimble House climbed to the top with 1,299 points, to be crowned GHS Inter-house champions 2026. It was no walk over as they were pushed all the way by Staff House who finished second on 1,281 points, only 18 points adrift of first place. Third place was taken up by the dethroned champions, Headmistress House, with 1,251 points, while Moffet House sat fourth on 1,140 points.
Reeves House with 1,430 points was crowned St. Vincent Grammar School Inter-House Champions, followed by Millar House on 1,239 points. Millar House last hold on the title was in 2011. Third place went to Crick House on 1,139 points, and fourth place was occupied by Lopey House on 1,103 points.
Fourteen-year-old Aleah Skerritt of Moffet House was crowned Victrix Ludorum, having amassed a total of 46 points, and setting new Inter-house records in the Girls Intermediate 200-metre dash in a time of 26.43 seconds, and in the Girls Intermediate 400-metres in 1 minute 03.02 seconds; a record she shares with J’Nae Farrell of Staff House, and Belle Adams of Grimble House. Skerritt was also crowned the Female Intermediate individual champion.
The Victor Ludorum champion’s title was won by 13-year-old Tyler Hercules of Lopey House with 59 points. He established a new Junior Boys 200-metre dash in 24.70 seconds, and was also crowned the Junior Boys individual champion.
The other new records were set by Leemore Ollivierre of Millar House in the Senior Boys 400-metres in a time of 49.34 seconds, while Millar House in the Senior Boys 4X400-metre relay, ran a new record time of 3 minutes 42.10 seconds.
Skylar Byron of Grimble House was crowned Girls Junior Individual champion after amassing 40 points, Ethan Kent of Reeves House with 46 points, was crowned the Intermediate Boys Individual champion, Faith Payne of Staff House with 40 points was crowned Senior Girls Individual champion and Leemore Ollivierre of Millar House with 52 points was crowned the Senior Boys Individual champion. Ollivierre was also crowned Open Division male champion with 9 points, while Belle Adams of Grimble House also with 9 points, was crowned Open Division female champion.
