Following two days of the trials at the 2026 Dr. Lennox Adams National Junior Championships, four athletes added their names to the list of qualifiers to attend the Carifta Games.
On day one, Saturday, March 7,2026, Isiah Patterson of the St. Vincent Grammar School cleared the required 1.90 metres for the Under-20 Boys High Jump qualifying standard.

Jahiem Williams, also of High Performance, qualified in the multi-events, this time in the Under-20 Boys Decathlon, where he needed 4,952 points to qualify; he finished the weekend with 4961.
They now join Ethan Kent and Evonte Nimblett, of the St. Vincent Grammar School in the Under-17 Boys High Jump; Trevel Sylvan of Xceed Sports Club in the Under-20 Boys High Jump; and J’aivar Cato currently attending Jamaica College, in the Under-20 Boys Long and Triple Jumps, as the St. Vincent and the Grenadines qualifiers so far.
Coming close to qualifying, but finishing just short was Tocarra Barbour of the Xceed Sports Club in the Under-20 Girls Discus. She threw a best of 35.00 metres, but needed 35.83 metres to qualify.
The window for qualification remains open however, leaving an opportunity for other athletes to make standards before the Easter Weekend Carifta Games in Grenada set to run April 4-6, 2026.
