Uroy Ryan extends National Indoor Long Jump mark

Long Jump record holder, Uroy Ryan has extended the St Vincent and the Grenadines record in the Male Indoor Long Jump.

Ryan’s 7.90 meter leap at the 2026 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Big 12

Championships in Texas on Friday February 27, 2026 reset the previous record of 7.88 m, a feat he attained in 2025.

Ryan copped gold and broke the Kansas State University’s drought of a Big 12 Long Jump title. The last occasion that was accomplished by the institution was in 2016.

Making incremental strides in the event during 2026, Ryan has made jumps of 7.43 m,7.63-m and 7.87-m, while competing at various meets across the United States of America.

Apart from the indoor record Ryan, who turns 22 later this month, is the custodian of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Under-20 Long Jump furthest distance of 8.01 meters.
