“We are a young team we are twenty-two strong now, but we first started with three swimmers at the Buccament Beach. We are trying to get all the youngsters on the Leeward side involved, so you are free to come and see what we are offering. We train at Questelles Beach on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m,” Williams told SEARCHLIGHT.

Not daunted by the fact that they do not have the luxury of training in a pool but make good of the Questelles Beach, Willliams stated that her academy is missioned to impact the lives of young people through swimming, notable those who reside on the leeward side of the island.
“Our long-term plan is to build children holistically, not only as swimmers. When they come different behaviours will show and you try to curb those also. We try to reach the children holistically. We encourage them in their schoolwork, and we reward them for different achievements.”
With the ambition to take the inexperienced but eager swimmers to compete elsewhere, Williams revealed that the academy is currently looking favourably at sending a contingent to the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre’s Invitational later this year.
She is hopeful that persons will come forward to support finically and otherwise and help change the lives of the youngsters who crave that opportunity to display their innate swimming talents.
