SVG’s Lady Heat meet Puerto Rico in Concacaf Women’s fixture
ST.VINCENT AND THE Grenadines’ women’s national football team, referred to a Lady Heat, is preparing for a high-stakes encounter against Puerto Rico on Friday, February 27, 2026 in Puerto Rico.
The game, which commences at 8:00 p.m. will be played at the Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon.
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF), in a release, said the squad features a balanced mix of goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards, blending seasoned talent with emerging stars.
“Focused and determined, the Lady Heat are preparing to make a strong impression on the Concacaf W stage,” it assures.
The squad reads: Tishana James, Zilla Drayton, and Altica Benn (goalkeepers); Raedawn Naton, De’ Andrea Barbour, Kendra Findlay, Kelisha Bowens, Azumi Quow, Melanie Stowe, Samayaa Connell, and Ashante Browne (defenders).
The midfield will be marshalled by Chelsea Cordice, Ashante Browne , Nevaeh Richards, Areka Hooper, Leona Barrow, Dionte Delpeche, Sonja Mckie, and Asanteni Charles; with forwards in Stephanie Hunte, Samayaa Connell, Areka Hooper, Leona Barrow, Meiya Wilson, Kianna Logan, Kittana Richardson, Cherish La Boarde, and Asanteni Charles.
“This match represents another important step in the growth of women’s football in St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” said President of the SVGFF, Otashie Spring.
“ Our Lady Heat players embody resilience, skill, determination and we are proud to see them carry our flag into this international fixture.” The Federation is promising that fans can expect a spirited contest as Lady Heat continues to elevate the visibility of Vincentian women’s football across the region.
