SVG Under-20 Male footballers off to Curaçao
A 21-MEMBER TEAM of players, along with 10 officials are part of the St Vincent and the Grenadines contingent to the Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Qualifiers in Curaçao.
The goalkeepers are David Butler, Dinesh Grant and Jonte Forde.
Selected as defenders are Daroy Mc Dowall, Dimitri Thomas, Elijah Niel, Joenaldo Payne, Malachi Mc Master and Shaquan Hooper.
Making up the midfielders’ lot are Emerson Stopler, Imani Miller, Lazaro Lynch, Matthew Joseph, Taariq Small, Tyrique Clarke and Zibeon Cunningham.
And, the strikers are Campden Bishop, Deshad Simmons, Gabriel Doyle, Loic Paul and Tyler Lewis.
The Head Coach is Ezra Hendrickson, Assistant Coaches are Shandell Samuel, Cornelius Huggins and Wayde Jackson, with Urtis Blackette, the goalkeeper coach.
Charged with Physiotherapist duty is Dilonie Sam, Doctors- Michael Stowe and Dwight Richards; and Kit Manager is John Hinds.
The Manager is Dominique Stowe.
Lodged in Group D, St Vincent and the Grenadines open their campaign today, Tuesday, February 24, 2026 versus Anguilla at the Stadion Rignaal Francisca, Williamstead.
The Vincentians then play host, Curaçao on the Thursday, February 26. They will then meet Haiti on February 28, and will meet Guyana on March 4.
St Vincent and the Grenadines is among 32 participating teams that have been divided into two groups of six, and four groups of five.
Only the group winners will advance to the 2026 Concacaf Under-20 Championship, joining the six top-ranked nations that have already secured automatic qualification.
The second phase which comprises a 12-team Championship is set for July 25 to August 9, 2026, and serves as the region’s qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Men’s Under-20 World Cup, and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
