Winners in Schools Table Tennis get crowning moment
THE TITLES IN the 2025 Zess Cola Inter – Schools Table Tennis competition were decided at the St Vincent Grammar School Hall last Friday, December 12.
Crowned were the singles and teams winners in both the primary and secondary schools.
In an all-Owia Government School final, Annie Barker defeated Ashley May, 11-6, 11-9 to win the girls’ singles of the primary schools category.
Rajveer Premraj of Calliaqua Anglican, took the boys singles title with a 118, 11-9 trumping over Trent Huggins of the Fancy Government School.
Meanwhile, in the Secondary Schools’ category, Loukhya Premraj retained her grip on the girls’ singles, trashing Monecia John, also of the Girls’ High School, 11-4,11-3, 11-2.
In the boy’ grouping, the St Vincent Grammar School’s Lamont Gregg won the boys’ singles title when he defeated the Thomaas Saunders Secondary School’s Oran- Jay Williams 11-8, 7-11, 11-2, 11-4.
The teams’ titles winners saw the Owia Government School copping the boys and girls’ titles in the primary schools category; with the boys ousting Lower Bay Inc 3-1 and the girls outdoing Fancy Government 3-1.
The St Vincent Grammar School took the boys title with a 2-0 defeat of the Thomas Saunders Secondary; and the Girls’ High School did similarly over the Troumaca Ontario among the girls.
Also receiving their pips at Friday’s closing ceremony were the MVPs.
Annie Barker of the Owia Government was the primary schools’ girls MVP, and O’ Riley Nanton, also of Owia Government, was the
boys’ recipient.
Loukhya Premraj was the secondary schools’ girls MVP, and Oran- Jay Williams, the choice among the secondary schools’ boys.
