Northern Stars installed as SVGCC’s Cricket Champions
NORTHERN STARS CHAMPED the 2025 St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College’s Invitational T10 championships last Friday, December 12, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
Facing the former champions, Sport Sciences Associates Combined, Northern Stars powered their way to 134 for 5 in their 10 overs.
Kirtney Franklyn, 66, and Jawayne Adams-48, shared in a 109-run partnership for the second wicket that saw them to their eventual total.
Reaheim John had 2 for 12, bowling for Sports Sciences Associated Combined.
Olani Slack, 40, was the lead score for Sports Sciences Associated Combined who reached 84 for 3 from their maximum 10 overs.
Franklyn was the player of the final.
Prefacing the final was the third place play-off that was snapped up by the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies (DASGS).
A 9-wicket win over the St Vincent Grammar School landed the DASGS the bronze medal.
The St Vincent Grammar School scored 75 for 4 in 10 overs, led by Zach Thomas’ 30.
In reply, Alston Bobb Jr. scored 49 not out, to guide DASGS to 76 for 1 off 9.4 overs. Bobb was the stand out player of the third-place match.
