Northern Girls wins SVGCC’s Invitational Netball title

CITY AUTO PARTS NORTHERN GIRLS laid hands on the ECGC/ Island Sipz Water SVGCC Invitational Netball title with a nervy 14-12 win over the Division of Technical and Vocational Education-DTVE Stars at the finals, last Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Villa Campus.

DTVE Stars were in the driver’s seat for most of the match before Northern Girls made a late surge.

DTVE Stars led 4 1 after the first quarter, and 7-1 by the half -way mark. They were smelling victory at 10-6, at the end of the third quarter.

However, Northern Girls dug deep in the final quarter, outscoring their opponents 6-2, to claw their way back into contention during, winning that period 6-2 to leave the scores level 12-12 at the end of regulation time. The newly minted champions continued that momentum in extra time, to trump at 14-12.

Before the final game, the Division of Arts Sciences and General Studies Elites, trounced the Division of Nursing Education Shooters, 30-15, to take the third place position.
