New Champions to be crowned in SVGCC Netball

A NEW WINNER will emerge when the 2025 ECGC/ Island Sipz Water/ SVG Community College Invitational competition concludes today, Friday December 5, at the Villa Campus hard court.

Seeking honours are the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) Stars, and City Auto Parts Northern Girls who will contest the finals from 3:00 p.m.

The two finalists had contrasting routes to the title match when they completed their semifinal matches on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

DTVE Stars eased past the Division of Nursing Shooters 19-4 in a lopsided affair.

DNE Shooters started with only five players, and DTVE Stars took full advantage of the numerical supremacy.

Leading the way for DTVE Stars was Cherese Williams who scored 10 of 19 attempts. It the total opposite in the second semifinal that needed two extra time periods to separate City Auto Parts Northern Girls from the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Elites.

After regulation time, the scores were level at 14 each.

There was still no separation following the first four minutes of extra time as the scores were still even at 15-15.

Northern Girls, though, finally prevailed 16-15 at the end of the two minutes second extra time period.

Preceding the final, DNE Shooters and the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Elites will meet in the third place play off from 2:00 p.m.

The closing and presentation ceremony follow the finals.

Associates Combined won the title in 2024.
